Well there were around Disley anyway. I did my usual blast around Dizz/Strines/Mellor et al and past several groups of bat scarers. It was nice to see (sort of) and it was a good night for chasing badgers and worrying rabbits. There were quite a few hooters out as well. Stars, big orange moon and commanding vistas of the Manc skyline all the way to Rivi were the order of the day....night.

trail update:
the bit down to where the Little Chef is still rideable in a controlled slip'n'slide sort of way
the bit after where the Little Chef is just getting faster and faster ๐Ÿ™‚
the bit just down from Mellor Cross is now hairy as ****, marble sized gravel, hairpin corners and now a 90deg drop-in on the first big right hander, squeaky bum time in the dark
the bit from the Fox to Strines Road, FERKING BRILLIANT

i was out that way last night, passed a couple of groups of cyclist so might have seen you. that descent from mellor cross is simply ace, love it. if only it was about ten times as long!

chased 1 badger for about 30metres, heard at least 1 owl, dry & dusty trails & a few pints when i got back home. all round excellent evening ๐Ÿ˜€

Yep, mrs nbt and i were out too, it was a cracking night spoiled only by the cokc in the 4*4 who overtook as I was turning right - not like he didn't have time to slow down as he was 200yds behind me - and the punctures I suffered in Etherow park, had to replace the front tube but the rear lasted long enough for me to limp home. bloody thorns.

the descent / climb from Shielan to Windy Bottom farm is being resurfaced BTW
