Certainly be interesting to see what it goes for!
CASH ON COLLECTION PLEASE NO TIME WASTERS OR I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN AND MAKE YOUR LIFE MISERABLE.YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
Seems like a nice guy!
yes i did think that wasnt his best selling point, but if you ignore the death threats its still a nice bike.
whimper... this is something I've lusted after for a loooong time...
I bet its gonna go for a fortune.....
It is hideous, but in a very, very good way. I still don't want one. 😀
psycle, I am glad to see you are using past tense ( lusted ).
I take it you have come to your senses since... 🙂
ti-pin man loves his, these were the Ferrari Testarossi of their day!
Still an elegant design IMO.
Certainly be interesting to see what it goes for! if its less than £1000 ill buy it just for the sake of it.
a brand new pair of MARZOCCHI BOMBER SUPER FLY Z.2 FORX went for just under $400 before christmas on u.s ebay so could be money in it if you stripp it..shame i no but i think thats what will happen to it.
wtf happened to the blue van ?
Surely that's earlier than 2000? At least some of it?
Last time I met one of those coming down the trail, there was so much lateral flex - I had to get out of the way!
Looks like it's got those DT titanium MMC spokes they did!
9 speed XTR came out in 1999, so it's a fair assumption that the cassette at least is older!
I'd have said they were closer to 1996. I still know two people using ti Mojos from the same era regularly!
Its a ming in my eyes... wouldnt mind finding one down the tip though. 🙂
It really is ugly, but a total classic frame!
IBIS BOW TI MORON TITANIUM TUBING
Can't beat a bit of moron ti 🙂
Retro Bling! + however many.
must be one for the older riders 😉
psycle, I am glad to see you are using past tense ( lusted ).
I take it you have come to your senses since...
Am watching this with avid interest... so probably not 😳
if you strip it..shame i no but i think thats what will happen to it.
it's a work of art really, it has to go to a collector, not someone who's out to sell the components!
I wonder what it'll go for, and if I'll be able to keep up 😆 oh the anticipation... my heart is actually beating faster at the prospect 😳
"but if you ignore the death threats"
LoL
Like it.
😆
S.
quick search on ibis says the first prototype was made in 1996 and went into prodution in 1997 so clearly older than the seller states but he also says its an 8spd cassette and a 9spd gripshift so might send him a quick message just to clear a few things up.
It say it has SRAM 9.0 shifters, not 9 speed shifters.
yes it does my mistake. he has now posted the answer to its size and its to effin small.got all worked up over nothing again im out.
*puts in a hopeful bid
Does anyone know what the sizing is actually like on these? What height rider would a 17" suit?
That is not a pretty bike.
I vaguely remember seeing pic’s of one in the past, Disliked it then and it’s still not grown on me…
Ming!
ive just looked at the geomertry and if your between 5.9 to 6 1 i think it will be ok so maybe im back in?
That's not a bike to be ridden, it'll be horrendous!
it'll be different that's for sure, though all rider reports I've ride say that it's actually quite nice to ride...
Lots of gorgeous bits but the sum of the parts doesn't do it for me I'm afraid.
[Edit] Had another look and changed my mind. With a different colour headset and stem that would be stunning.[/Edit]
Anyone got pics of Ti-pin's bow-ti?
