So the logging work has now wiped out all of the middle section of chock slide and about 80% of the lower section. Has been inevitable watching the logging get nearer and nearer over recent months…I guess. Along with a few other storm related changes and issues over recent years i’m hard pressed to see it worthwhile heading up here at all now, which is a shame for me for a variety of reasons.

That is a shame. Was definitely some fun to be had up there.

The best bits of our local trail were impacted by logging last Autumn and Winter. Thanks to some great efforts by the trail builders it's all back and better than ever now. Does Blairadam have active trail builders?

I’ve not been up for a while but didn’t spot much new stuff last year. It was suffering from tree fall though, there were trees down regularly, especially after the storms. Much of the forest is pretty mature I think.
