Anyone with one of these able to confirm it mounts around the bb shell as well as standard ISCG mounts?

Nope, you can put it on without touching the BB. Got one for sale ISCG if interested email in profile.

I'm running a double and bash on my SX Trail, would one of these be any use to me?
I am tempted by the shiny new Gamut double-specific set-up but one of these would save me a good wedge!

Yes it would Shandy, it's cheap and works well just make sure you get the right one for your frame.

Came stock on my 06 Enduro (ISCG version) so I would think it would fit the SX trail too.
