Heading to Blackburn tomorrow with my 7yr old for something unrelated, but just seen Billinge wood on Google maps.
Never been, is it rideable? Ok for a 7yr old? We can happily take the bikes along with us tomorrow if it'll occupy us for an hour or so

Probably ok for a 7 year old. Walked it earlier this year, not ridden it for many years. Tended to get quite muddy when it rained but it's generally pretty tame, not sure it's maintained anymore though.
