Planning on going away next year and thought it might be a good idea to get a camera to record our trip....

GoPro currently have the Silver 7 on offer for 250€ (normally 330€).

Is the Black worth it over the Silver at another 100€ more?

Also, can you edit videos on a tablet or do you need a laptop?

The black has the new stabilisation feature (I think it's only the black) which looks really good. Especially for mountain biking, it makes videos so much nicer to watch.

Depends if you're going to get a lot of use out of it or if it's going to sit in a draw for years.

going to sit in a draw for years.

This is where mine is. I've used it about 3 times, the rest of the times it sits in the cupboard. I really should dig it out occasionally.

Non-replaceable battery on the silver, could be annoying.
