New wheels custom built, would you go black or silver?

Silver for sure. They just "feel" nicer.

Having done both recently, I've decided I prefer silver. Just gives the bike a lighter "look".

Would have to be black for me, especially if they were carbon rims.

Wash your mouth out, black of course. It's not the 20th Century anymore.

If the rims are silver or metal with brake tracks - silver spokes, as they'll go with the rims. If the rims are mostly black - black spokes.

I always have this dilemma with new wheel builds. I go for stainless (silver) mostly because they are cheaper and they look clean when they are clean.
My current 'off the peg' bike has black spokes, first time for me, and I do like the look of the black spoke.
I will be building upgraded wheels for it this year. They will probably have silver spokes as they are cheaper.

My bike came with silver spokes as that's what the shop had already lying around (Pro2 evo + Flow EX). New wheels with black spokes would have been an extra $20 so I stuck with the silver.

Glad I did now as the wheels don't looks anywhere near as mucky or scratched as they do with black spokes.
