[#6265626]

Boblo and I have a coast to coast ride planned for next again week. I've had some bivi gear in the shed since Christmas and I'm ashamed to say I've never used it. Tonight is the night.

I'm taking a tent in case the midgies get me.

Any last minute tips?

You might not need that much fuel. A small stove would suffice

(and yes, I'm jealous)

Tis packed. I'm going to swing by my brother's gallery opening in Falkland to swipe some canapés for supper.

You got something to cover your eyes? It gets properly light piggin early these days. No problem if you want an early start though 😉

Oh, and your rear wheel logo/valve alignment is out. That'll cause a major problem with the bears.

if you have a canapeas you need a butter knife and a jar of honey to make them easier to eat

A few satchets of badger repellant.
Local garage should do them.

Smidge. Bathe in it before you go.

Sit Rep #1

Found a perfect camping spot. The midgies seconded it. Tent up before the rain started. Currently pitter pattering on the flysheet. Highland Park and tablet at dusk with a cuckoo nearby. Bliss.

Edit I forgot to pack repellent.

Lesson #2 - don't wear sandals

Lesson #3 - see lesson 2

Lesson #4 - if you've made it this far then don't even think about wearing socks as well!
