I weight under 12 stone and ride the following type of trails

black mountain, bpw, fod, revolution , chicksands and Woburn with the occasional trip to the lakes. Gap jumps no bigger than 12 foot but prefer techy descents.

Only £40 price difference but 300 grams heavier. So climbing would be easier with the pikes.

Currentky have Pikes on my Spesh Enduro.

Woiuld love some advice from the masses:)

Lyrik. You won’t notice 300g weight difference.

I thought the price gap was bigger than that...

The £40 difference is the cost to upgrade on the Bird configurator, and you get the RC2 version as well which would make it a no-brainer for me.

Deano - I’m a similar weight to you and I’ve just replaced the Pike on my AM9 with a 36 and the extra stiffness is noticeable, and welcome, so even if you have been happy with the Pike on the Enduro I would still recommend going for the Lyrik. External HSC & LSC adjustment should give you more fine tuning options as well.

Without a doubt I’d go Lyrik! Hat bike is a beast downhill and you want a fork to go with it. If rc2 then even better (once you’ve worked out how to setup all thre various settings)....

Just going through the same decision so this has been helpful, but trying to choose between the MRP Ribbon air and the Lyrik- any thoughts anyone?

I’ve got the MRP Ribbon Coil on mine and love it! Sorry, can’t comment on the air but can on MRP customer service, it’s legendary.

They don’t list the offset of either forks and are the pikes also the 2019 with the new air spring?

Just to add I’m sure I read the Lyrik rc2 won the recent Enduro fork review in MBUK. Beat the fox 36 and I think the ribbon was also in the test. Not sure if air or coil though.
