Out for the first time for weeks this afternoon (Post viral fatigue) and had the joy of sorely missed sights, sounds and smells associated with riding.
Sight(s)? Sun dappled sliver of woodland singletrack, drystone walls, rabbits scuttling into the undergrowth.
Sounds? The rapid panting of airshocks hitting multiple roots/the "pulling up the drawbridge" click-clack of a Hope freewheel.
Smells? Damp loam, at the moment. Also find wild garlic, hawthorn flowers, bluebells, heather and flowering red current evocative at various points in the year.

Cooking dogshit smell.... the smell of summer.

Sights = dust being kicked up in loose corners
sounds = hope freehub or chain clatter
smells = GT85 or dust again 🙂
