At the end of the month, I have a rare weekend totally free so the plan is to go on a little 3-day road trip to ride some awesome trails.
I'm based in Newcastle upon Tyne but am willing to travel pretty much anywhere and would love everyone's input on possible routes and locations to ride and camp.
My initial thoughts were camp at Glentress campsite and use it as a base to session the Golfie, Innerleithen, thornielee and glentress but I've ridden them all before and it feels like the safe (but still awesome) option.
Places I have never ridden but quite fancy
Wharncliffe / Sheffield area
Wales Black mountain centre / Bike park wales
Aviemore area
Glasgow area
Where would you go?

Day 1: Drive to Llanberis - Snowdon after five.
Day 2: Antur Stiniog
Day 3: Back via Peak District.
Pick one campsite in Snowdonia for minimum faffage. I wouldn't drive from Newcastle to BPW unless I was desperate to ride there.
Swindon?
any other suggestions?
It much depends on whether you are after marked trail (centre)s or want to go a bit more "wild".
