I have the use of an apartment in the south of Spain, a few miles SE of Estepona, and may be thinking of going out there for a family holiday. I would like to take my bike and get some sun on my back and hit some dusty trails. I have seen that there is plenty of trails to be had to the east of here, but I can't find any info on trails west of Mijas ( probably 1 - 1.5hrs drive?). I was hoping someone might be able to tell me if there is anything worth having a look at in the local area. Ideally routes that I can ride back to the apartment. Any info greatly appreciated.

Bear in mind that (even in Estepona) it can still get chilly, albeit it's unlikely to freeze. (Something to think about when packing the bag, not a reason to stay at home!)

Thanks for the vid and info. I'd never heard of wikiloc before, but seems there's a bit to go at out there.
I lived in Gibraltar for a couple of years. There are rides west of Estepona, but to be honest, north and east may well be your best bets. There are some great chilled rides, but that probably isnt what you are after.
