Hello all
I need to book a long weekend away for approx 8-10 riders in June and looking for somewhere near Ambleside or Coniston. Anyone got any recommendations? Don't mind paying a bit more for semi luxury like separate beds!
Cheers. FYI I have ridden there before in Windemere, Coniston and Grizedale. It's proper natural riding.
Not in Ambleside but may work depending on what you're looking to do and if you have a car. I stayed in the youth Hostel in Troutbeck a few years ago which was decent enough and gave you a nice ride down into Ambleside. The ride back was less pleasing though.
I stayed in the YHA at Ambleside many years ago and it was very good indeed. I think you could book private rooms too. It had secure bike storage too if memory serves me correctly.
