Do I need gold floating rotors too though?

🙂

And yeah I know I have white and black cables - got the white ones by mistake.

It sort of goes with the brown, but I'd leave it at that
A gold front rotor wouldn't go so well with the black fork and silver calipers I don't think

Gold pedals would be a no no I reckon

Dimmadan, it's not gold enough!

CFH - yeah I kind of agree about the red end caps - but they were so cheap on wiggle dammit.

Anyone else got any pics?

Maybe I'm missing all the 'gold' but I can hardly see any.

Bronze and gold go well together, my mate's 2005 SX Trail looked great with gold Hope hubs & seatclamp, gold CK headset and gold Answer bars.

Go for broke, gold rotors and gold bar ends. Do Middleburn do a gold inner ring?

NB - wouldn't work on any other colour bike except bronze or possibly black if your name is Huggy Bear.

"too much?"
Yes too much brown, take the chain/seatstay protectors off and it'll look alright

Is that nicolai supposed to have a 160mm fork on, it looks really propped up in that picture. Gold (blocky) stem and bars look vile IMO

..............that ain't bling:

[img] [/img]

NOW we're talking......

[img] [/img]

The Aurumania gold bike crystal edition is about $102,418 and is hand built, plated with 24 carat gold and hand-adorned with more than 600 Swarovski crystals. The handlebar grips are hand-sewn, chocolate-brown leather and of course a beautiful molded Brooks leather saddle! The Bike is fully customized, Limited edition of 50 and for this price, its hand delivered anywhere in World! There are no brakes of course - its a fixie!

timdrayton - maybe too much brown imo

the black and gold on the nicolai is nice but the stem and bars is too much imo.

Maybe I'm missing all the 'gold' but I can hardly see any.

On mine it's the seat collar, headset spacers, rear QR and also the BB (but you can't see it).

Anyone want to swap gold floating rotors for my black ones?

Should really have got the black and gold M4 calipers 🙂

I think it is the angle of the photo tbh
The bash ring and the small looking shock only make the BB height look taller

Mine hasn't for a few months - been ill with post-viral fatigue. 🙁

Piddling around putting bits of bling on it is part of trying to stay sane (I think). 🙂

That's pretty nice - still not sure about gold stems though. What are the gold bits on the cables?

The cables are Nokon carbon. The gold bit is just an anodised link with the logo on.

Could have gone for the gold X0 mech, but I prefer the original 2007 version.

Hubs are obvious - gold spoke nipples, chain, pedal spindles, fork top cap (that was standard with the fork) and bolts less so - gold chainring bolts not visible from that angle! Decided against the gold rotors with gold hubs.

Airbase stem now for sale, but the grips and seatpost clamp remain. Gold pedals still there too, but on their last legs....

What grips are they? Def glad I didn't go for the gold stem I was thinking of now. 😉

Yup - the stem's hated by pretty much everyone 😀 Including me, which is why it's for sale, following an unsuccesful attempt to hammerite it black....

The grips are these ones;Spank

But I wouldn't recommend them - they're pretty uncomfy after a long ride, even with gloves.

here's my very own bike.

once the chain is worn it'll most likely be replaced with a gold KMC.

[img] [/img]

please pay specific attention to the gold crank screwy thingy as it cost me 7€.
