I'm looking for some stuff to attach stuff to my bike, and also my body.

Those straps that you have on a backpack, with the locking clips that go around your chest and waist (I don't now what they're called) would be perfect, I'm thinking? Adjustable in size, and easy to use.

These are only ideas at the moment, but I'm feeling a wave of DIY coming on, and I'm thinking saddle bags, bar bags, and a harness to attach a camera bag to my person with enough comfort to be used on a road bike.

So what's the best stuff to use, what's it called, and where the hell do I buy it from?

Its just webbing straps, most outdoor shops have them for a few quid, in a variety of sizes.

eBay, search for webbing, cordura, you won't be long finding what you want. Once you've made a few and know what you are doing, there will be people on here who I will guarantee you will spend daft money on your stuff!.

Sewing supplies shops are good, got some 25mm webbing and plastic buckles there for my home-made bar-roll straps. Dead easy even for a needle-phobic like me )

Cheers guys, that's perfect. My mother's a dab hand with a sowing machine, so I might draft her in at some point, unless I'm feeling brave!
