Hi all - just a quick note or those that didn't know - BikeMagics website is back on line after a migration and facelift.

Its looks all new and shiny, so pop over and have a play.

No, I'm a BM regular and there are some temporarary defectors over here awaiting the new layout to be done - just letting them know its finished.

Not attempting to influence (attn Mr Mod) its all a happy choice eh?

Will it be the same old losers posting there? I particularly dislike that pseudo aryan "monkey space pilot" character and "stan" the southern gaylord.

I still get the old platform and/or HTTP 404 not found.
Who are the new proprietors?

Poke your head into BikeRadar - that's like Pre-school.

Ming etc. for logins contact editor@bikemagic.com. There's a know reason why some of the logins ailed to migrate - they can fix it if the know you're having issues.

@ Draxc, it says something if you can't judge five clearly mark forum titles and decide which to use.

Riding = Bike forum
Soapbox = chat forum
Classified = for Sale

Not difficult really is it...

Never use the site myself, but doesn't it only have about 5 sections? You not getting it mixed up with Bike Radar?

BR is ridiculous in the number of forum areas. Even within the MTB forum there's about 15. There's no 'latest posts' either - just a 'posts since last visit', so if you close your browse and re-open 5 minutes later there's about 2 threads.

Can't remember the last time I saw a posting by the boy Evans...

He still crops up - seems to have to just poked his head into the SiTS thread. God I hate him.

Why does it have a Ladies only area, should it now have a men only area?

I'm entitled to an opinion all the same, I stopped visiting BM about 8 years ago or more as it was just awful. I've been a mod for less than a year.

I don't know why blokes find it so hard to deal with changes. The new BM site looks different, but it's all easy peasy really ๐Ÿ™‚

Maybe we could just use this thread and ignore the sanctimonious On-One worshiping STW freaks?

I used to really like it, but the membership dropped right off and it became very stagnant, I don't think a face lift will massively help. A shame really, I liked Mike and Dave's style.

Ah sorry toxic socks hold on.... nope, I gave you the wrong email - create a dummy login and email the editor or post in Soapox/the new Bikemagic forum, he'll sort you out.

Yes I realise that, was just saying that back in the day I used to like it, and one of the reasons was the folk behind it were a) likable and b) prevelant, used to get into some good discussions.

It was a different forum to here, you tended to have the topics that would run into thousands of posts rather than the transient 5-10 reply jobs you get on here.

well, toxic, if you're using FireFox, you need v5, otherwise clear your cache and retry. People on all platorms are accessing so it shouldnt be an issue.

Cant we all just get along?
I am a long term Bikemagicist, while its been down i have Singletrack worlded, but have always slightly dabbled at both forums. May as well, being subscriber t' magazine.
its interesting to see so many Edinburgh folk on this forum, so i will certainly be dipping in more often, even tho BM is back.

SingleTrack magazine is ace! The engine behind the Singletrack world forum, not so good.

Valid point indeed. There was more 'identity' which was good too, it felt like one built more of a relationship with other users than on here. I guess a smaller 'core' membership probably helped.

ooh its like Whizzer and Chips, or the jets and the sharks, or some other childish and cheesey musical style gangs.

[adopt deep American film trailer voice]He was a southern shandy drinking jellied eeled eating biker from bikemagic, she was a Northern ,Yorkshire-Tea-drinking, whippet eating, singlespeed self abuser from Singletrack world. They tried to hide their relationship from their brothers and sisters, but love knows no rules, is no respector of pointless website geekery. Will love provail, or will it be moderated?
watch 'SingleTrack magic II'... now in 3D

Incorrect. There are still many that can't access it with any browser/OS.

as you probably know Factory media are now behind bikemagic so a bigger operation behind it and pool of talent/industry know-how.

if i was a small cottage industry mag/website i wouldn't be so dismissive of BM/roadcyclinguk and what the parent company have planned for them.

And that fool Evans seemed to disappear once he'd driven all the photographers away.
