Does anybody have any experience of the Edinburgh Bike Co-op's bike trailer for two (7 1/2 months old) or does anybody have any recommendations for something similar.

You want a Chariot Cougar 2. The price may shock, but it's a quality item & the residuals are excellent. It did my twins from 8 months to 4.5 years old.

The price is a shock, are they really that good?

After lots of thought and research I recently purchased a Adventure AT3. It's pretty light, seems very well built and can take 1 or 2 children.

I took my 8month old out for a quick spin around the block and it supported him well, but he's a big chap for his age. Anyhooo... he loved it and I'm impressed.

His helmet should arrive today, so hopefully lots of weekend rides soon!

I think the only issue is that is doesn't fold particularly small.

**Also has a large storage area at the rear, big enough for lots of baby related bits**

I have a chariot CX2 and it is great, we can squeeze a one year old and three and a half year old (he is in four to five clothes - as he is lanky like me)and they both manage fine, there is an external storage compartment for all the extra stuff that is inevitably needed on a day out, the suspension cen be set to take into account the uneven weight load and I like to think the added weight of both kids is doing me good as I huff and puff up hill.

Oh and yes I think they are worth the money, especially as they hold their value.

The Adventure AT3 is my kind of price, I'll have a look at them.

Ours is pretty much the same as that AT3 above. Was about £80 from Ebay a few years ago. Has served us well. Looked at the Burley etc, but just couldnt afford it. Bit of a squeeze these days as the boys are 2.5 & 4.5. Make sure you get an alloy one, the steel ones are very heavy.

I've just bought a second hand Cougar 2 from heihei (from STW). Hoping to get a quick "go" with my daughter this weekend.

I did lots of research - looking at getting one from Canada, the USA etc. Key issue here is getting it shipped. Your laughing if you can use it as a pushchair on the way home from a holiday there though.

There is a place in Germany (biker-boarder.de) that is a fair bit cheaper than the UK suppliers and they will deliver to the UK for free. Of course, after Gordon B and chums "saved the world" our currency doesn't go as far as it used to.....

I suggest you place a few wanted ads and do a few google searches and one will turn up soon enough. Second hand they are ranging from around £300 to £450, usually with a few accessories as well.
