Work have finally got round to doing the tax free cycle scheme thingy. Woo hoo.

However im looking to buy a roadrat frame & forks rather than a complete bike.

After contacting the company that administer the scheme and my LBS, they've both said that you have to buy a complete bike.

Does anyone have any experience of there being a degree of flexibility when it comes to this sort of thing?

My work runs theres through wheelies.co.uk and there is no flexibility, complete bikes only and there are restrictions there too, and clothing has to be high viz.

who are administering it? I think that some shops will do a build for you of bikes they don't stock, eg condor cycles. Thats with Cyclescheme.

You have to buy a complete bike

Anything less is illegal

*cough cough*

Who is running the intermediary thing?

And what choice do you have with LBS?

Ah yet more people who want to take the pi$$ with the scheme and run the risk of getting the whole thing closed down by the HMRC.

Its cyclecheme that administer and any bike shop within London that participates.

Houns,

There are various bike companies that seem to offer non complete bikes on the scheme.

I dont think i'll be the last person to wonder how flexible the scheme is anyway.

it has to be a complete bike, but there are lots of excellent choices out there.
