Cycling to Amsterdam soon and flying back with B.A. Their website specifies a 'recognised bike bag' for storing the bike on the plane. Does this mean the CTC polythene bag will be O.K or will i have to buy a more substantial one?

Any past experiences with B.A or other airlines?

Thanks

'recognised'?

wtf is that supposed to mean? CTC obviously 'recognise' their poly bag but I wouldn't surprised if BA get Jobsworthy about it. I once had a grumpy Ryanair check-in person tell me a clear poly bag wasn't a real bag; I said 'it's never been a problem before' and the handlers took it away no problem.

You could argue that the clear bag was a new design to make it easier for Security and harder for b0mbers (unintentional mtb joke there, aythenkyaw)
