yo.. trying to convnce the GF that we need my bikes in the house - not due to any security concerns, just because.
i remember someone here posted a pic of a bike sitting at 45° off the wall, the wheels sitting on little blocks and a short rope attached higher up the wall and connected to the frame.
looked through google, but to no avail...
anyone?

You mount it on the wall and hook the pedal over it. If you want the bike off the floor you need to put blocks up for the wheels to rest on to keep it level.

The bottom bike would normally be mounted lower but the tyres were gradually being nibbled so it has been hung out of reach, apparently corner knobs are quite tasty.
Anyone got pictures of that Mountain ledge rack with a bike on it? The Aldi rack only holds two bikes and we have four in our small dining room at the moment.
@ muggsy..... yes, i'm a chippy and could knock one of those up in an hour in the workshop. i've seen them before on some website for start-ups - looks like the guy got it off the ground!. nice as they are, the bikes i'm looking to hang wouldn't fit comfortably on those kind of racks. the shelf would have to be pretty wide to accomodate the bars!
the sort of thing in Neil's pic is what i'm thinking off, but less industrial. should be pretty easy to do and it allows you pass along the hallway without ducking and diving....
8)and we have four in our small dining room at the moment.
