Hello, first post here and I wondered if I could ask the collective's advice.
My son has just about outgrown his 17" Ridgeback mx2 (I think it's a junior model), and I'm looking for a replacement, preferably a 29er. Budget is fairly tight, but I've seen a Marin that looks like it might fit the bill (link below). He's about 5'10/ 5'11, so on the edge of the size guidelines between models - he's at the top end for a medium, and at the bottom of the range for a large. Can I please ask whether it's best to go for the larger size or not. I don't want to buy him 'something to grow into' that's a pia to ride for the next year 🙂
(Of course, if you think the bike is terrible please do say - other suggestions welcome!)
