Cane to the lakes today and forgot I'd left my bike rack at the brother in laws so we're bikeless. Want to do skiddaw and whinlatter. Us there anywhere I cana rent a bike or two from that are decent? The ones at whinlatter either seem a bit crap or expensive. Not bothered about an ebike.

Cheers

I've used both E-Venture and Whinlatter bikes in Keswick to hire e-hard tails and I'd have not fancied either up Skiddaw though e-ventures at least had reasonable tyres. Cyclewise at Whinlatter appears to be the only choice if you want a non e-bike full sus.

It might be worth looking if Alpkit have any of their demo fleet in Keswick.

I hired an alloy Occam from Cyclewise for three days a while back. I liked it so much I bought the company carbon version.

I hired a full suss full ebike from E Venture bikes in Keswick a few weeks ago (Lapierre Overvolt). I also did Skiddaw and the north loop in Whinlatter - just enough charge in the bike to do that and the linking road section between Skiddaw - Whinlatter - back to Keswick - in ‘Tour’ mode for me!
