[#4035952]

I've had 2 pumps go down this week. 1 had filled with water and a clean and vaseline not done it. The Vaseline is too thick. Any lube recommendations?

The other needs a seal kit, I'm planning an annual strip and relube now. Pumps 4 years old, so not bad I suppose.

what make pumps?

I usually rejuvenated pumps with a clean, grease (just the 'bike' stuff) and maybe a new o-ring or two.
My Topeak joeblow was temperamental after 5/6 years, but got that back to new condition with a kit for £2 from SJS cycles.

Fox Float fluid's pretty good for lube.

Of course, its Topeak, and so it has to be (since I have 2) a Road Morph & a Mountain Morph (do other pumps exist! LOL)

I've got the spares kits on order and a joe blow spare head. I'm going to try to fit the head to my mountain morph. It will fit the Joe Blow Track pump (that of course is in my shed) if it doesn't work.

I'm keen to find the right grease.

Probably a molybnemum grease.
