And the wheels didn't explode?

Not yet.. but I didn't do the Blacks...Maybe i'll give the bike to you for the black and see if you can make them explode.

If it makes things better/worse, my wife is Welsh too 😉

I'm happy to meet weeksy near Newbury, guess at about 7.30am ish if the northern contingent have sorted there transport out?

works for me matey. I'll throw you a mail (if it's on profile) and we'll go from there. I've got a Mk4 Mondeo that we can easily get 2 bikes in.... I've got a towbar mounted bike rack too but I must admit, I've not tried it yet !!!!

I'm looking forward to the flapjack and burger already 🙂

16.5 stone of pure muscle here 😳

Bike weighs a ton too with coil shocks at both ends.

Sorry about this, but....... what tyres? Dual ply a necessity?

I ran a pair of Nevegals, 29er obviously, they were fine and dandy.

TBH i'd rekon dual ply would be excessive... but I don't know how Gnar and rad you are 🙂 They're a bit rocky on the reds, but they're slabs rather than sharp stones.

Cheers - I'm super-rad to the max.

In any given situation I shralp 110% of the available radness with my gnarpoon.

Once I got like 3-4 inches of air.

Nukeproof, 160mm front, 150mm back, no coils. Will I die?
And dual-ply minion tyres, natch.

Only if I can't stop and plough into you with the 29er of destruction.

I'll try stay out of your way weeksy!

Grum, that bunkhouse looks bob on, 25 quid won't break the bank either. I'd be up for staying there if you want to travel down the night before.

Ok I've booked it - seems like we can pay cash on arrival, and we can turn up whenever.

Looks like we can probably have seperate rooms unless a load more people book in - probably for the best once we each find out how weird the other is. 🙂

What are the chances of meeting you guys up there...??? I know the uplift is booked but is it still possible just to pay £4 per uplift when there is a space?

Brackley/ Banbury based so M40 or A34.....

15 stone of pure Gnar ( read bullsh** ) here & on a Steel steed I ride.

I went tuesday with no uplift and managed to pay 4 quid a time to get on the uplift no problems.

I did the climb twice, It is a beast but its not that bad imo.

There's loads on youtube, some bimblers, some shredders, all look like they're having fun. There's an Irish guy who just whoops and hollers all the way down but I can't find his videos.

I'll be happy to be first to mince slowly down Enter The Dragon avoiding all the gap jumps.

Was there any chicken runs for it though ? The rest of it looks no worse than the reds... but i'm still 4 weeks away from being Jedi'd so i'm not ready to gap jump yet

The only proper gaps are on the Pro lines. There are some drops on Enter the Dragon but there are no chicken runs - It's a proper downhill course and there are warning signs before the drops. The worst is about 2 1/2ft vertical, but by the time you land the transition you'll drop at least 5-6ft. If that's not your bag, stick to the reds and blues, you'll still have an awesome day.

That pic there would require several attempts of VERY badly landed ones and possibly hospital trips before we got to that level of competence.
