[#10593030]

Battery died on my 7 year old Torchy lights. So it's either a replacement battery from Torchy or what else is out there.

I need it to run for at least 2.5-3hrs

Not wanting to spend exposure money.

Thanks

This light, at this price, is hard to beat. Mine is still going strong after 4 or 5 years and gives a fantastic amount of light. Great quality, lightweight, and a very good battery.

EDIT. In fact I have just ordered another one as the offer is too good to miss ๐Ÿ™‚

I've got an Torchy 8800mAh 8 Cell battery pack and charger if your interested? Used for about 2 years but still powers my light for 3 hours with juice left in it.

Correct - either for a new light or just a replacement battery.

The Halfords 1600 one. Wait for a discount / use a discount voucher though, then it's really unbeatable value. Bit heavy for some people's heads though.

Slight hijack..... what are peoples throughts on using all-in-one lights on a helmet? Only ever used ones with a battery pack, so that can be mounted on the back or in a bag to keep the weight low

https://www.brightbikelights.com/starrylight-rx02-dual-beam-angle for a bar light. Really impressed with it, as are the folk who bought it on my suggestion.

I pair it with a https://www.tredz.co.uk/.Lezyne-Macro-Drive-DUO-700-Light_112054.htm which has a lovely beam, though due to positioning options (lack thereof) on the Bluegrass lid has a slightly distracting shadow that covers a foot or two ahead of the front wheel. Not a problem when using a bar light or on lit streets.

Did have https://www.wiggle.co.uk/cateye-volt-400-duplex-front-rear-helmet-light/?sku=100346679 which is quick charging and doesn't have the weird helmet-peak-shadow, but there are bright rings in the beam that do my head in a bit. TBF not really an issue on lit streets, but deffo a commute light not for MTBing.

Two Evolva X8's here. One on the bar, one on the helmet. No battery cables is a joy.

Another vote for MTB Batteries. Great lights and an absolutely top notch service!
