I signed up to gravel dash 50:50, but don't currently have a GPS for the nav. Would usually use iPhone, but battery won't cut it.
Any recommendations for something reasonable that will see me around?

Not Lezyne. The navigation side of it is terrible.

Battery pack to charge it?
I've got a Garmin 810 but it's getting a bit flaky, when it's behaving itself it's great. I also have a Garmin Dakota not as handy as it doesn't upload to strava via phone but otherwise good. It also takes AAs so easy to use for a long ride.

For a one off event this is the sensible option. Less so if you want to regularly use a GPS
