Hey folks,
5 of us are doing the SDW twice over 3 days, home to Winchester on Friday, Winchester to Eastbourne on the sat, then Eastbourne to home on the Sunday.
I need to find a hotel for us for the Saturday night in Eastbourne. And rather than email each one to check if they are happy to have bikes in the rooms, has anyone used a place that are cool with it?
Any recommendations greatly appreciated!
Travelodge and Premier Inn both sell being bike friendly in their blurb, both happy for clean-ish bikes in rooms
Premier Inn seems to be rather pricey. But travelodge is a good option. Although i was hoping for something a bit more faulty towers 😆

I`d ring a couple up. the place is full of people with odd ideas on acceptable decor
i`ve just moved there (not my choice!) - it is very odd.
After doing the British Heart Foundation ride along the SDW about 11 years ago, a group of us stayed here The York House - they had a storeroom on the ground floor which they were happy to give over to ours (and several other) bikes that night. It's 'Best Western' and maybe more pricey than Travelodge or Premier Inn, but work were paying so we didn't care 🤣
A few miles short of Eastbourne but South Downs YHA will be bike friendly and likely relatively cheap for a 3 person room.
