Hi Guys,
I wonder if someone can help me with some advice? I want to buy a new bike and I have a choice of two, they are both about the same price (do not want to pay anymore). My choices are the Kona 120 and the Giant Trance X4. I am not sure if the Kona is the 2009 spec or the 2010 spec, as the 2010 spec has Hydrulic disc brakes. The only advantages that I know of are: Giant has 11-34 rear cassette, Kona is 11-32; Giant is Hydralic discs, Kona not sure; Kona I can get in a few weeks but the Giant I need to wait until Sept when the new range comes out, and I may be able to get the Kona a little bit cheaper.
Should I wait until sept and get the Giant and will it be worth while waiting or should I get the kona now. I've heard the Konas are good but that the Giants are better. I am fairly new to mountain biking so could any replys be in laymens speak please

why are you restricting yourself to those particular bikes?
Because I bought a bike through the cycle scheme (Coyote Team SR)and I had to take it back on two occasions because on both occasions the frame snapped in the same place. So the shop is offering the two bikes I mentioned as an alternitive that is some where in my price range

I see. In that case... I'd go for the Giant, purely because I've met lots of people with maestro Giants and no-one has a bad word for them
