[#9614405]

I need to take my full suss bike on a plane (Vitus Escarpe L.)
It's just under 1250mm from axle to axle.
Sorry if this has been before, but does anyone have any recommendations? 😀

A suitably sized free cardboard box from your LBS.

It’s all fine until you suffer a wet box:)

I hired a bike box Alan for my bandit 29er. Had to remove fork but fitted okay. Relatively cheap compared to buying.

They're big money when you compare them to suitcases, which is basically what they are.

Depends on the case. Structurally my evoc isn't like a case it's a well thought out tool with a lot of features and some more expensive parts like decent wheels. It's also 3-4x bigger than any suitcase I own.
More flights than I can even remember and it's been great value

Bike Box Alan was too small for my other half’s large Bronson iirc, so get them to confirm dims first.

And +1 evoc. Pricy but pretty much faultless.

A bike trip every other year or so, free bike box from your LBS, planning to do more than one a year from now on, EVOC.
