Just seen a mail with a good offer on a Thule bike case round trip pro. Looks really good. Never flown with a bike, have some holiday plans for next year. Dont fancy the cardboard box approach for carbon bike. Like the idea of doubling up as an easy way to take bike into hotels in the UK too.

personally, a hard shell bike box is the only way to go.

Can hire them for about £30-£40 a week if you don't fancy shelling out.

And I'd recommend a Scicon bike box. Expensive but, considerable less than the contents I put in there. Served me well on 6 easyjet flights so far

EDIT: This is with a ROAD BIKE in mind

Get an Evoc, my road bike also fits in that. And its never been daamaged.

If your going once then yes hire. But if you plan to MTB abroad lots then its a sound investment
