Hi,
I haven't ridden a bike for about 15 years (apart from the odd hire bike). Ive recently moved to Sheffield and now want to get back into it. I used to practically live on my bike before I left home to go to uni, so I know what I'm getting into and how much I'm going to enjoy getting up into the Peak District.
I'm looking to get a bike through the cycle to work scheme. (I think I have to buy from evens cycles?). Does anyone have any advice on which bike to get? Im looking to mainly to trails/bridal ways etc. (nothing too crazy) and Ive already decided I want hardtail. I think I want something as light as possible because I'll probably be climbing a few hills.
Do I want a 29er (what are these?). My budget is the maximum cycle to work £1000.
Advice would really be appreciated. I saw the Ghost SE 8000 on Evans, is this a good bike?
