Need some big 26" tyres to fill a 27.5 frame...
Not plus or downhill - just trail tyres. Also need to be available from somewhere...
Anyone got any suggestions please? Have been looking at Hans Dampf, Magic Mary and Chunky Monkey 2.35 so far.
Kenda Nevegal 2.5 if you can find em.
Bonty xr4, trail king 2.4 are accurately sized.
Schwalbe 2.4 Big Betty's are aptly named, plus Conti Trailking in 2.4 is also pretty true to size.
Good shout on the nevegals, genuine 2.5s. Not especially great, mind. Trailking/Rubber queen despite its rep for gigantic size is spot on the claimed 2.4 but it's pretty tall which could be good for you.
Great, thanks all. Any 2.6 or are they just 27.5/29?
Bonty xr4 2.4" are very tall.
ADvantage 2.5" also.
I've got a 2.4 Chunky Monkey and a 2.4 Conti Mountain King - both pretty big tyres.
Second the Trail King/Rubber Queen comments. 2.4 is a nice size. I have heard the 2.4 Ardent is a good size, but have only ever had the 2.25 myself.
Minion DHF 2.6, sizes up bigger than Specialised Butcher...
Surly dirt wizard 2.75 or Knard 3.0
Edit - missed the "not plus". Dirt Wizard worth a look though.
How wide are your rims?
a 4" Maxxis DHF fits a 27.5+ FOX 34 just right.
