As i've been off the bike for too long and any bike shops I have been in have been big chain stores, i've not been used to the personal touch the little guy can offer:
I go into my local bike shop for the first time with a wheel that needs trued and some new spokes
"hi, just wanted to see if you could fix this"
bloke has a look, i expect to be able to pick it up next monday
"here's my card, give me a call at 4pm, should have it done by then"
Bloody hell I was not expecting that 😀

cycleworlduk - I'm about to go up to Aberdeenshire for a few weeks, know of any shops in oh.. say, Stonehaven worth visiting? 🙂
