Long story short I had my first ride on clipless pedals today so decided the blue route would be a smart choice just to get used to everything. I mainly ride red/black trails and am a technical trail leader with the army, I ride a 2009 fuel ex8 which I like to keep clean and in good condition and the same with all my gear. As the trail splits of from the red there were 2 guys on old steel hardtails sitting having a brew by the fence. I had headphones in so I assume they thought I couldn't hear their comment off "look at this d**k all the gear and no idea only riding the f**kin blue ha ha ha" Now I have no idea why I didn't stop and confront them but what drives these people into thinking they are better than anyone else on the trail or that I am any less of a rider because i have a nice clean bike and gear. rant over
