Big flat pedals

I ride Shanmashi CVO composite pedals. Similar design to the Konas. Exact same platform size and shape, but 21mm thick. Thats an extra couple of milimetres each side of the axle. Not so much it upsets the stack height。

I like my pedals close to the cranks because it helps guide my feet onto the platforms. I tried axle extenders once but foot placement became a mystery, so I don't think that second pedal would suit me.

Ah for big flat pedals you need the pedaling inovation catalyst pedal, 143 long x 95 wide and 16mm thick!

the Kona and SQLab above have petty wide stance - assuming you mean centre of pedal to side of crank? and then from crank to edge of pedal?

would love to try those things! though they are not as wide as other pedal, but perhaps the length makes up for that.

Widest Q factor (and widest platform that I know of) are the Chromag Dagga. I'd love a set but they are like hen's teeth and insanely expensive. Developed with Chris Kovarik for better stability. I've got Unites at the moment that I picked up for £35 second hand, they're very good but would still like bigger for my size 12s

Those Chromag Dagga pedals are £181 though. Do people buy them just to show off their wealth? I remember when hardcore riders pretty much only had a choice between DMR V8 or V12 pedals and you'd be lucky to squeeze six months out of the first before the bearings/races went crunch. Now this plethora of pedals all claiming they're (among) the best.....

I'd also love to try those Pedalling Innovations ones. Couldn't justify the cost though, so found the longest reasonably priced plastic pedals I could, which were the One Up pedals at 115mm.

i do wish that mags and sites would when reviewing take pics of pedal against a calibrated  / marked space, then over time you could compare each pedal review for size.

Ah they had some of those pedals in on a bike in my mates shop, i saw them but never had a try on them. We all thought they looked good to try though.
As for DMR's vaults are my go to with upgraded bushes and seals! Perfect 🙂
