DHB.

Or Castelli are astoundingly good vfm (I suspect that's the same factory??).

Castelli Body Paint Bib Short if you want to push the boat more than half way to assos prices.

had castelli before, and like them, may try dhb. What I'm looking for is any good deals/sales out there at the moment. Been searching but any decent sale bibs are never in my size. There must be somewhere with a cracking offer at the mo

What size are you? ie honest waist size & height as castelli sizes are for stickmen (dhb are for "english" sizes).

yep seen the roubaixs, no good...
I'm 5'11" 33" waist. I have had castellis in xl but large in everything else i have had.
understandable that they are the first sizes to run out, just fancy a nice new pair for a 280 miler I'm off on on thurs. Haven't had a new pair in quite a while but can't justify splashing too much cash at the moment

Hard to beat DHB Aeron Pro's IME (and I have Assos and Castelli's to)

Just bought a 2nd pair of these, really comfy and have worn well, great deal for £40.

As you pay more for dhb you get more of a "pro" fit, i.e. it gets tighter around the belly. The Aeron race I have are tighter around the waist but cut so that as you are in the riding position the shoulders are comfy, stood up they feel very tight around the shoulder.

Are the DHB really cut much differently by model? My Pros are pretty generously cut (thankfully...), I thought it was mostly about the pads and a bit about the material (e.g. fieldsensor in the Pros) rather than the cut.

blueraven - what's the sizing like for the decathlon bibs? I can't seem to find that info, only EU:S and EU:M etc. I'm normally a medium in most things but not sure with these...

I've got some of the BTwin tights (they've lasted well through the winter and are surprisingly comfortable)

I'm a large in them at 6'2 and ~33" waist

I've got two pairs of dhb bib shorts and I don't really think the expensive pair is much better than the cheap pair. The pad is a thick lumpy polymer of some sort, which is not really more comfortable on the bike and is too bulky off the bike. Go for their budget shorts and I'm sure you'll be happy.

(The best I have are some older dhb bib 3/4 tights with a thinnish red pad, which is quite stiff and is fantastically comfortable because it doesn't bunch up or get sweaty.)

Hi Scaled, not wishing to be too personal but is that a trouser 33" waist or, well you know, genuine as measured... just trying to work what I'd be.. I'm 5'10" and 34" as measured

Sizing seems pretty std, I am usually a medium (5'8" tall, 34" waist) and I wear the medium bibs.

So defo a medium at the moment, do you think a 32" waist might drop me into a small? or would medium still suffice should that happen...?

I have a pair of DHB bibs which I really like. Very comfortable and great value for money. Because I am tall, I went for a size up - bit more room than a race fit.
