i am looking at replacing my shimano hollowtech 2 drivetrain and i am shocked at the price of shimano chainrings!

merlin;
22t - 16.95
32t - 21.95
44t - 59.95 (probably does nt need changing at this moment)

i have nt looked at middleburn prices yet

any suggestions for cheaper shimano or other makes?

thanks

I just got a middle and outer middleburn set from pedalon cycles for just over £60 all in. Will last longer than shimano...

put a wtd on the classifieds, lots of people sell them off from SS builds.. But probably not when you want them!!!!

I've never bought anything from superstar but I'll be giving their chainrings a punt for sure if they're ever back in stock...

Same here, I hardly ever use the outer ring, hardly ever needs changing.

where are you guys needing a 44T ring?

36/12 is easily a high enough top gear for Fort William DH
