Gettting quite ambitious and going to attempt some basic wheel (MTB and road) building! So which is the best guide and any top tips for me?

roger mussons book is brilliant even teaches you to build a jig if you fancy 🙂

+1 for Rogers book. It's just so easy to read and understand.

Roger M's book - worked for me - not expensive - print it yourself - free upgrades. I even emailed him with a specific question - no bother, he emailed back really quick. A true star of a fella!!

Rogers book is brilliant as is his backup! Superb wheels can be built with this guide + you get the updates.
