Best value is probably Deore.

From personal experience I'd say avoid anything with Race Face stamped on the side of it if you want it to last longer than a few months.

Otherwise you can't go wrong with Deore or SLX which may slip under your budget if you shop around.

I've had an SLX double & bash for a few months now & very happy with it. Suprisingly good finish to it too for the money. I'd agree with the comments re Raceface - their rings don't seem to last as long as others.

I wouldn't buy from Ribble though.

Have been very impressed with SLX's on my Orange Five - performance wise, I can't tell any difference between the SLX and XT on my Anthem X.

If you're interested I have an unused set of SLX cranks in my garage. They were going to go on my wifes Anthem X4, but (you'll like this) she prefers the colour of the boggo Deores that came with the bike 😆

I was gonna bung them on the classifieds for £70 posted - let me know if you want 'em. Cheers

I had Raceface Evolve on my Bike for years-just changed to SLX--I had forgotten just how GOOD a Shimano front shift could be! My Raceface also used to snag the front mech at times under a pressured change but the SLX has more clearance.
