Why not? Internal helmet band broke for no reason and it's been smashed in a crash

Ah...fair enough.
The thread implies they're no good as actual helmets and better served as plant pots that's all.

That's how I read it! Would've worded it the best use for crashed helmets!

This one saved me in a nasty crash so its served its rightful place in my garden

Could be improved by slashing the coir through the vent holes and plant anything trailing.

Been doing this with my old helmets for years, currently have a Giro Xen with some trailing tomatoes in it outside the kitchen window
I don't bother putting chains on though, just use the chin strap extended as big as it will go
