whats the best for the up coming winter and a rigid bike, with carbon forks.

i am limited to 2.35 rear, unlimited at the front.

i want something that i can really push, grip essential speed not really, though i hit 32 mph yesterday

ride conditions are hertfordshire through woods and singletrack, roots, mud and the suchlike.

cheers
s

I have just put a pair of 2.35 Highrollers on mine (cheers, tbc!), which I'm liking. Although someone very angry will be along in a sec to tell you not to go near mud with them(..........), I have had no such problem.

why no mud encounters?

in the old days 1.90 was regarded as being good, but i was lighter then.

what tpi would you go for? current tyres are 120 tpi......

i use maxxis medusa 2.1 front and 1.8 rear which are good in the very muddy conditions.

i also get along with nobby nics when it is not so muddy.

I am all for mud encounters on Highrollers! However, not everyone on this forum agrees...

Mine are 60a.

No complaints.

Continental verticals, not that new or clever but they work. (got them on a rigid singlespeed)
