Hi all,

I usually do big multi-month trips but now I'm working full time (based in the NW of England). I like doing remote-ish bikepacking rides on my 27.5+ bike. Is there a good website where you can find single or multi-day rides? I know bikepacking.com and bikepacker have many routes but they are quite US-centric and don't feature may 1-3 day routes for England/Wales. How do you guys plan weekend or just a Saturday getaway?

Cheers!

FM

Is single day bike packing not just going on a long bike ride with a mug swinging from your saddle?

Start with selfsupported.net which has the UK ITT routes. Other than that, just get a map and link up bridleways and get out. Also worth asking on bearbones forums which are more bikepacking oriented than here.

OS maps? Ones of the area of interest. You can tell a lot about the route from the map. Harder in winter but you can still get a good idea of potential problem areas.
