A bit old school in the age of dropper posts, but I have a fixed seatpost to commute with and I have some trails on the way home.

Currently use a Hope clamp, but not really impressed with it, the lever is quite stiff and rough feeling and the surface of the cam has pitted really quickly.
So what other 34.9 QR clamp is the best to go for?
Salsa? Chromag? Other?

Salsa start out feeling lovely but go crap quite fast. Hope start out feeling crap but dont really get any worse.

The Chromag one with the massive brass bushing is the bollocks.

I eventuality went with a non qr clamp because I worried too much about the saddle and seat post getting nicked when locked outside shops or at work. Plus I don't always want to ride stuff requiring a low saddle. Multi tool on the bike (in frame bag here) so it doesn't take long at all to adjust saddle height.

I do like a Salsa clamp. Probably my favourite. All these external cam clamps do need some grease every now and then though. Even a Hope can be made to feel OK with a little lubrication.

I've got two Chromag one's and they are superbly made. Never had any issues with either.
