I've just purchased one from Leisure lakes for £175.
handtec were the cheapest when I bought mine
I used Pentagon GPS - no problems. £173.99 delivered.
Amazon have got it for £158.99 at the moment; I got mine with HR and cadence for £220 from Evans the other week which is at the higher end but impatience got the better of me
got mine for £195 from Evans inc speed/cadence sensor plus premium HR strap..(so much more comfy than the standard one) on a price match..
that was a few months ago though and prices have gone up.

no, you need an 800 for that.
I loved my 500 though, it was great for the road bike. I eventually swapped my 500 for an 800 when wiggle had them on offer, but if i'd stayed with the 500 i would have been quite content
