Sorting out an old touring bike and thought I might treat it to some new v brakes. Given that most folk are now running discs I thought there would be loads of nice v brakes kicking around in people's garages. But apparently not.

Anyone got any ideas?

I have put a 'wanted' post up on the forum but I reckon the whole splitting out 'wanted' and 'for sale' has affected the amount of response you get to a wanted post nowadays. Just an observation. Anyone else noticed that?

2nd hand.... oh your already there.

Hmm interesting post, my experince of the WTD ad's, seemingly is that the "traders" now site watching those ad's the most and they don't even have to be forum member to email you (assuming you have a visible email).

BUT the old classified (and new) had a such a huge turn over in AD's, that wtd ad's just got ignored and blasted off the 1st page in an hour or so. At least with the new section, you get a fair amount of time on the 1st page, so are more likely to get what you want IMO.

Hi Phil,

Could be great - thanks. Don't suppose you've got any pics? And do you have levers etc to go with?
