[#1311037]

before I phone 'stw shop of the year' (which is closed today) any other places to look for Hope Hoops, a set of Tech X2's and probably a headset as well :fanboy alert:

Would like to discuss the wheel options so a good tech service is as important as a rock bottom price....

If you want good service, go to your nearest quality LBS.

CF, if only !
Although my local Evans is OK they don't offer many options on more specialist stuff (although did give me a good price for the X2's)

To be honest I've had better advice 'over the phone' from 18 bikes than 'face to face' in many local shops....

Cycleworld have just sorted me out with a set of X2s, they also got me some hope hoops over Christmas (came with the red hubs too because they are a tech centre). Service was excellent, really nice bunch of guys who know their stuff. Fitted the brakes while I waited with a coffee on a busy Saturday afternoon. Can't ask for much more than that.

Errr, the idea of a quote is to compare prices and offers. It's not a marriage proposal.

STW reverse auction. Love it. We need a new forum besides Bikes, Chat and Classifieds.

18 Bikes have done me very proud, good service & advice as well!

So far...... M4 Brakes, Van R Coil Shock, Pro2 tool kit, various bearings etc.

I live in Lincoln, but THIS is my LBS as I ride in the Dark Peak most weeks..... and the bike shops here in Lincoln are terrible - they made a £450 mistake on a set of Pikes - never again.

With them being a Hopetech shop, they never take advantage of the fact and are happy giving you advice on Hubs/Brakes etc over the phone so you can save money and do all the servicing yourself!
