I bought the v2000 from mtb bateries (smudge off here), about a tenner cheeper than the DX equivalent (£115) and I reckon the light is so bright that I cant see much of a difference between high and boost. The other alternative is the 4 LED one from DX which is a bit cheeper, but I wanted soemthing low profile as my P7 kept catching low branches.

Not sure but the connectors look the same, and I think the voltages are the same, you'd be better asking smudge though. Battery is about 50% bigger than the DX one though so has masses of runtime.

I had some p7 ones that were great. The bike light I had was about 50 quid 900lm, same light here at the time was 150 quid! that was about 2 years ago.

I've just bought a Fluxient 4x R5 light from Torchy on flea bay for £89. Unbelievable light output with a perfect spread.
Would highly recommend. It. Comes with a helmet mount too.
