Hi all,
Is anyone using a decent iPhone biking app? I ride MTB so bridlepaths and footpaths would be good, I'd also like to be able to create routes when I'm out and about riding
There's a lot of choice on the App Store so any suggestions would be appreciated!
Cheers, Paul
A few free ones bikehub or viewranger ok if you just want to plot your route.not too bad &strava of course they do eat your battery so make sure you have good charge on your phone.
Viewranger is very comprehensive
Viewranger +1
errr..... STRAVA!!
Motion-X is good for creating routes and importing GPX files.
MapOS (?) allows dl of patches of OS maps so you can see bridleways and footpaths easily, but I tend to use bikehike.co.uk course creator then DL the GPX file for use on my iPhone in Motion-X
Anyone have a better solution?
Free memory map app with some data I bought works well for me, but I've not tried Viewranger yet.
Another for viewranger...... remember to turn off wifi, bluetooth and dim the screen brightness and there's hours of battery life available.
Another for Viewranger here.
Haven't switched it over onto my iPhone tho, just left it on Htc desire and use that for when out on bike.
Bought Viewranger, thanks for your input guys!!
Cheers, Paul
Motionx for most things. I use memory map for route plotting and checking actual location. Get a battery case from amazon to cure battery life problems. I've been using tecknet cases.
I've been using Viewranger for a good while now, I really dont think it can be bettered
