a mere graze but the scab was awesome, proper ooze and entertaining pickage, lost all feeling in the skin for about 10 months till the nerve damage healed

3 nights in hospital (including my birthday nil by mouth). Debriment surgery to clean it out. A hot summer evening when I neglected to put the knee pads on - typical. Sadly I never got a pre surgery picture.

I broke and/or dislocated all the bones in my right wrist: the hole in the picture is where they inserted the screw to pin my scaphoid (bone at the base of the thumb) back together, I also have a bone-anchor on the other side of my wrist and used to have a three inch pin through another couple of bones to stabilise it all. What was weird was watching them doing it!

So that white lump they are playing with is a scaphoid is it?

I broke mine but it healed naturally, after and absolute age though...

Yep, that's the beauty. Unfortunately I broke it and the two sections were not knitting back together properly because the impact displaced them. Apparently the operation meant it healed quicker than if it was left to its own devices. Nevertheless, it still wasn't ready for A Levels!

Scaphoids are a bstad to heal, something to do with limited blood supply.

Thanks for making me fell sick...

I don't think I'll bother posting a photo of my chain ring/calf interface. Not exactly in the league of these bad-boy injuries!

God, and I thought I was going for overkill with padding on rides! Think I might have made a wise choice looking at some of these!

Thought we might have a few cuts and grazes on here, but wasn't expecting deleted scenes from saving private Ryan!

What the hell did you do to your leg jedi?

Jeeeze - some of you have been through the wars. One photo in particular stands out to me - and reminds me that if I get an increasingly hairy back with age I'm bloody well going to shave it just IN CASE that ever happens to me.
