[Closed] Best hand protection?

Apparently I love my guitars even more than me bike([s]s) (ditch the plural since a kindly car driver wroter off my full sus 2 weels ago). I don't want to damage my hands in a crash again. I've got these Mace Clutch which were cheap, light and are comfy once you get used to the palm seams. Good external carbon & rubber pads etc., but could add more protection.

I do trails & XC but not DH, so not bulky.
High tech padding (kevlar, d2o etc) would be good.
Anyone got a recommendation or ideas?
